With my sculptures I want to challenge the viewer. I want the image to raise questions that viewers have to put effort into to find answers. We are hardly aware of how much gravity determines everything. During evolution organisms have developed very sophisticated supporting structures to raise above the surface of the earth. In my work I depicted the effects of gravity.

My work is also about the surprising logic that can be found in unfamiliar forms. This becomes really interesting when the logic is not easily identifiable. The shapes and lines are sawn out of wooden boards, can be seen as spatial drawings. The wood is partially painted and partially natural. Horizontal and vertical lines bring calmness in a composition and other directions bring tension or movement.
